Now safely back and in the office, Kashmir seems a million miles away. But what a lovely trip. It is certainly a beautiful and historic part of the world and I enjoyed all aspects of the four nights we were there. Everyone so kind and generous and I sincerely hope we can repay this by sending tourists to you. I know that the minute the foreign office advice changes our clients will not hesitate to book and now having seen what there is to  offer I feel confident in putting an arrangement together.

Dear Irshad,
You beat me to it. I was about to tell you how happy we had been under your care.
It really was a good group, everyone got on well with each other and our mixed practical experience was very instructive. From my view point it was also very instructive for my coming tour in August and of course to make my programs  for 2006.
 One thing that really surprised and opened my mind , was the little private excursion into Srinagar Old City and the tour under Yasin’s guidance of the Old City next morning . I had realized what culturally we could obtain . All my previous visits had been centered around houseboats etc. So some thoughts need to go into future programs.

A very belated thank you from all of us , for the care and attention that you gave for us on our quite wonderful trip to Kashmir . India was marvelous, but the cherry on the top for the whole group was Kashmir. Tara and I are attending a function on Monday night at the Indian high Commissioners residence in Pretoria , where we are to meet the youngest scion of Gandhi family – Mrs Indira Gandhi’s grandson, Rahul, I have already made two broadcasts , since I came back home about our trip , another one coming up next week.
